In June 2025, I was invited through a collaboration between the Israeli Embassy in Serbia and the Etnomreza Center — an organization dedicated to preserving Serbia’s rich cultural heritage while supporting the economic empowerment of women — to participate in a felting women’s colony, lead a master class, and work alongside them.
As part of this unique cross-cultural initiative, I collaborated with a group of Serbian women skilled in traditional handicrafts to create a collective artwork that tells the story of the Serbian town of Šabac.
The result is a felt replica of a medieval map of Šabac — a multi-layered piece, much like the city itself — reflecting a profound and shared journey of dedication, creativity, and cooperation between women from two different worlds.
