The first project hosted at HaDira, the Liebling Haus Residency Program, is the Urban Artistic Hosting Platform (UAHP). Exploring art’s place in the city through critical residency practices, the academic-artistic project (created three years ago as part of Anat Litwin’s Urban and Regional Planning Ph.D. research at the Technion) allowed us to define the program by studying and inhabiting  the apartment as it converted into a public hosting space.

During the work process in the apartment, with its temporal duality - the 1936 apartment of the Scheuer family and the contemporary residency space in a public cultural center - the artists developed a visual and conceptual language that shaped a series of installations: works that reappropriate the house and the city, exploring the relationship between public and private space.
